On April 23, 1949- the date of Weizmann presented Bernstein with this copy of his newly published autobiography- Bernstein, then with the NBC Symphony, performed at a dinner for President Truman and President Weizmann at the Waldorf-Astoria, hosted by the Weizmann Institute of Science.
