FIRST EDITION, SIGNED BY JEAN-MICHEL BASQUIAT.
Signed and numbered on the verso of the title page. Illustrated with 12 full-page color reproductions (one a tri-fold) of Basquiat’s work, color illustrated dust jacket, and beautiful black-and-white photographic portrait of Basquiat by Jeannette Montgomery.
Published on the occasion of Basquiat’s exhibition organized by the Bischofberger Gallery, from January 19 to February 16, 1985.
Although the book is numbered by Basquiat as one of 1000 copies (“857 / 1000”), it is extremely rare on the market and it is generally understood that a number much smaller than 1000 were produced and signed by Basquiat.
