SIGNED LIMITED FIRST EDITION: A "Sculptural book" signed by Ruscha, with the concealment of the words "Me" and "The" on the fore-edge of the text block underneath gilt.

"Me and The" is "A Sculptural book with double fore-edge printing and gold gilt edges. Text concealed within the leaves appears by fanning the leaves first one way and then the other" (from the limitation page). The pages inside the book are blank. Edition number 102 of 230 numbered books signed by the artist. (There were an additional 21 proof copies.)

Ed Ruscha is known worldwide for his photography, drawings, paintings, and artist books which record the shifting emblems of American life in the last half century. "Me and The" is an exquisite example of his book art.
